Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

Good summary. Just for the purposes of this now very long thread....
I am not sure that this issue has even been officially acknowleged by TP-Link.
My experience to date has been that the F/W updates are suggested just to keep us occupied - there is no mention in the release notes that this issue is being addressed in the update.

@StuartP Has just installed 1.3.5, and can't use 5GHZ 40 mhz. Always use 80 mhz, and one of my devices uses 5ghz, but only with 20/40 channel width.
Please solve this problem. I need to fix width in 40mhz.

Hi,
Is your 5g configured a/n/ac ?
Have no problem with a 5g 40mhz device. Most of my devices using 80mhz.

@aTOMic1971 I have tried all combinations, and router always emits in 80mhz.

Mine runs actual with auto settings. Later i can try to set it to 40mhz fix and scan the wireless.
Maybe only a side effect. You can try to set it to factory default, and reconfigure it manual.
