Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

Within 1 hour of upgrading to 1.3.6 the 2.4GHz band went down. So the bug still remains.

This is BS, the router was perfectly fine until 1.3.x firmware was deployed. Take a look at the forum. Almost all models have this same 2.4Ghz band problem. This is on their firmware. They have no clue what they broke with 1.3.x.

Today I updated from 1.3.5 to new 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591.
2.4 GHz WiFi still not working for my ASUS Chromebook and "I'm surprised" there is still no OneMesh on/off button.
(Guest Network OFF, IP reservated -> DHCP OFF, Smart Connect ON or OFF, TxBF-MU-MIMO OFF, WPA-WPA/2, Version and Encryption AUTO).
Bad, bad, bad, never ever again will I buy TP Link router and this C6 I'm going to return to the store ...

Is this the firmware people are trying now?

I am wary about updating at all since mine is still working on 1.3.4. I wonder why some have this issue and others don't

@RedIndianRobin nope. The problem was from the early 1.1.x versions. Check out the initial post of this thread.

Goddamn....
It was all good with 1.3.6 beta but after upgrading to non beta 1.3.6 (official release) the 2.4Ghz went down within a single day. I can't be more precise because I was at work all day long.
This time it doesn't say that the password is incorrect - it just doesn't allow connecting.
5GHz works like charm.
Still can't change channel. It's fixed on auto setting...
