For me (European model C6 V2 bought in June 2020) everything had worked great until I installed the firmware 1.3.5. and then 1.3.6.

(same SSID for 5 and 2.4 GHz, Guest Network OFF, IP reservated -> DHCP OFF, Smart Connect ON or OFF, TxBF-MU-MIMO ON or OFF, WPA-WPA/2, Version and Encryption AUTO).

 

2.4 GHz WiFi is not working for my ASUS Chromebook, but it worked with the firmware before 1.3.5.

 

Therefore I think hardware is not an issue.

C6 V2 2.4 GHz works OK with other devices  - 4 Android phones and 2 tablets, the only device I have problem with "C6 V2 2.4 GHz" is Asus Chromebook. But before firmaware 1.3.5 also Asus Chromebook (v. 85.0.4183.131) worked OK on 2.4 GHz. Reboot doesn't help.

 

 

 

And Smart Connect  (ON or OFF) doesn't matter ...

Hi folks,

you can also switch off the IGMP proxy under IPTV. It could cripple your entire network (WLAN and LAN) if configured incorrectly.
Many users have also reported that IPTV has stopped working properly.
For me everything that has to do with IPTV is all turned off. Because I don't use that.
My C6 is working now. It is no longer important to me which firmware I use, they all work.
I can only recommend you not to use the BETAs.
They are not tested and you are the testers.
Use the last stable version, it can happen for one time again,the 2.4GHz bug, then just do a reboot and see...

 

PS: And don`t use SMART CONNECT, there are many devices that don`t like that wink

And is this problem also, when you change encryption (no encryption), or flash back to 1.3.5 ?

When you say "everything", you say this problem is now with 1.3.5 also ?

Then this can be added to the strange bug list.

 

I´have tried any beta also, and I´ve seen the 2.4GHz connection light from my RE300 OneMesh Repeater going on and off like on christmas with that firmwares.

Then I´have emailed with support and they have made a special beta for the C6 with logging function and i have sent them the logs.

All they said was ,that my wireless is going into firmware recovery... . Whatever that means ? But with that beta it was the 5Ghz.

Then i decided to go back to 1.3.4 stable version. And after some time the wireless has begun to run stable.

4 Weeks without the bug.

Then i went to 1.3.5 and the same.

Now I`m on 1.3.6 and no problems. This means i`ve last seen the bug about 2 month`s now.

This does not mean that the bug is resolved, but what does it mean ?

Is this only a side effect when upgrading from a lower version than 1.3.x ?

 

I dont want to go back to something like 1.2.1 or lower this firmwares have other bugs and no OneMesh support.

I downgraded firmware to 1.3.0 Build 20200402 rel.52000 - 2.4 GHz on Asus still not working ...
