Model: Archer C9
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

Hi,

My Archer C9 v 5.1 doesn't show any wifi/wired clients in the iPhone app unless I do a reboot. After I logout from the app then they disappear again and a new reboot is necessary. All clients have full access and function normally.
If I logon through the web interface 192.168.0.1 I can see all clients wifi as well as wired.

I have another C9 v 3.0/4.0 that works without any problem, where I see all clients and can block the ones I need to block.

Is this a bug or have I accidently configured it strangely?

@Jesper

What is the iOS version of the iPhone?

Without any wifi/wired clients showing up, can you see the online devices under Advanced-DHCP client list page?

Please tell us the current firmware version of C9 as well.

Hi Kevin,

1. Right now it is iOS12.4 but I tried it on the iOS before as well without success.

2. If go to the https://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1 on a web browser (either on my separate macbook or on the same iphone) I always see the right amount of wifi/wired clients.

When ever I do a reboot on C9 from within the Tether app on the iPhone, I see the correct list of connected devices for a couple of minutes. The list of clients/devices goes away (it says 0 clients) if the phone goes to sleep or if i skip to another app and the returns after a while.

Quitting and Restarting the app doesnt make any difference only rebooting does (but again just for a short period of time...).

3. 1.2.4 build 20190403 rel. 63869(4555)

FYI.

I have an older C9 v3/4 in another house in the same Tether App on the same iPhone that works without the same bug.

@Jesper

Thanks for your reply.

May I know how many devices connected to the C9 at once? Please show us a screenshot of the DHCP client list page.

What is the current internet connection type and DHCP IP pool? Please show us a picture of it as well.

Have you ever setup any advanced feature, like access control?

Good day.

Hi,

1. Anything from 3-12 clients usually no more than 2 wired. I have tried with only one wifi client and with only wifi clients (no wired).

2. The internet connection fiber 100/100Gbit. Last summer I had my C9 v3/4 here at the same connection and similar setup and it worked perfectly.

3. Nope never on this C9.

At the same time when logging in the iPhone app it lokks like this:

@Jesper: I have the same problem. For me it started when I wired one of my sonos speakers directly to the router via a smart plug connected to a dc outlet. If i disconnect my Sonos speaker then I see all the clients in the tether app

@Franken
Thanks! I actually had a Sonos 1 speaker connected to it back then. I'm going to check if that was the problem.

@Franken mine does this. I just pull down and refresh it and it will show them. Hope it helps.
