Need Help!!

Region : Australia

Model : TD-8817

Hardware Version : V7

Firmware Version :

ISP : iprimus

I have bought TD-8817 from Amazon last week. I put the small disk to my computer and tried to set it up. Everything was OK, but at the last step I got the error message “Fail to verify router settings.” I reset the router to factory defaults, ran the easy setup assistant again but got the same error. The Internet LED keeps off. I can’t get any Internet! Who can help me?

You may check if the ADSL line works fine. The modem should be synchronized at first. The ADSL light should be stable on.

Yes, the ADSL light is solid on. The line is working fine. Do you have any other suggestions?

I think you need to check some information from your Internet service provider, such as the VPI/VCI, connection type, username and password. If any of them is incorrect, the modem cannot access the Internet.

My Internet Service Provider, which is Iprimus, has given me the information. My VPI is 8, VCI is 35, and connection type is PPPoE LLC. I called them again and they said all the information is correct.

What is the username you put into the modem? Last time I configured my modem and only typed the first part of the e-mail address. The modem could not access the Internet. I talked to the tech from TP-link call center. They told me to type in the whole e-mail address. She is right. The problem fixed.

guys, thanks sooo much!. I did not put the whole username (whole Email address) at the beginning. When I put the email address, I got the Internet straightaway!
