Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Since the 1.3.1 firmware installation, I am getting regular reports of blocked connections from the antivirus software.  The worst is for http://wxlink.vipsinaapp.com which is happening many times a day.

As per the "General questions about Antivirus feature on the Deco App", I have been to https://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/ and checked the url and it is listed as safe.

Another url that is getting blocked is http://cdn.onebauer.media (also listed as fine by the trend page) and that one is used as a cdn for images from http://www.empireonline.com, a pretty mainstream site.  As a result, the images on the page do not load.

I am loathe to turn the antivirus option off, but it doesn't seem to work as advertised.

@Glen

The antivirus feature is based on Trend Micro, their mechanism to block url seems have something wrong/conflict.

We are working on it and gathering the feedback reported by our customers.

Besides, for the 2nd url blocked, as the screenshot attached. We can see that although Trend Micro defined the website as safe but it is categorized as spam. That's why the issue happened.

As a temporary solution, it is recommended to turn off the option "Malicious content filer" when you are logging in to the website. Or try to complain on the Trend Micro website.

I have a similar problem with my brand new Deco X60:

The site codycross.info is said to be safe but occurs in spam mails.

As there is no possibility to define exception or to allow safe/spam declared sites, the whole antivirus is useless and has to be disabled.

I just got the reply from trendmicro:

So we are at the same point as we have been before: blocked due to content type 'spam'.

I hope this will become somewhat useful with the just anounced cooperation with Avira.
