Model: Archer A20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.0 v004a.0 Build 160315 Rel.64765n

Hi, I want to know is it possible switch between 4G  FDD bands ( Archer MR200) .  Is there a program or any method?

My ISP have active bands  B20   and B3 on LTE.

B20 (800)   is very slow and when the router is on this I have 1 Mbit / s downloads. In B3 it reaches 70 Mbit / s, often I have to restart it in order to hook B3 (1800+)

Hello all,

Here is a beta firmware that can fix the band of the router:

@mik

Sorry to tell you that there is no option to fix the 4G FDD bands at our end now; it synchronizes automatically.

While you can contact your ISP to verify whether you can deactive the band B20.

@Kevin_Z I have the same model

Model: Archer MR200

Hardware Version: V4

Firmware Version: 1.9.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190307 Rel.54196n

I recently switched from Huawei E5573 606 to this. The performance is horrible from Day 1. The router keeps switching from LTE band 1 3 and 40 and gets disconnected every time. Its very difficult to work in these times of Covid 19 when i have to work from home and i get disconnected every 2 mins because of band switching. Please suggest a way out of this, otherwise, customers like me will go back to Huawei as that performs seamlessly against these conditions.

This is quite Urgent!!!! Can we at least get a Beta version like how it was given for MR6400 in some of the other posts?

yeah please make this available for MR200 user also. I saw MR600 got this beta upgrade that can let them choose 4G frequency band manually. This is an important feature that must have in your product lineup actually. Its hard for me to use the wifi especially when playing competitive games as the band keep will change either B3, B7 or B8 as i live in an apartment, the B8 tend to be more frequently choosen. Please help us. Appreciate any hardwork that done by TPLINK team.

Indeed it's necessary. It's forces me to B20 which works terribly under 1Mb/s when 3Mb/s works over 100Mb/s.

Actually it's getting similar speeds to my Samsung Galaxy Notes 3 I recovered to be used as modem. Not worth spending the money if it won't improve the speeds of this 7 year old mobile...

@mik

seconded

the MR200 received a quite nice update with recent 1.17.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200526 Rel.36799n release (i'm on a v4 device)

Still a manual LTE BAND selector is in dire need: auto selection i so conservative it puts me on BAND 1 which caps at 40-50mbit/s, but when on BAND 3 i can get up to 100+ mbit/s
