@Solla-topee Firmware is up to date, it is 1.1.2 Build 20200212 REl.67183.

I bought it on Amazon earlier this week.

Is there a beta firmware available? If not, is there any advice on which channels should be used that might fix this?

Thanks,

Rob

@Solla-topee Hi there, I'm having the same problem with my range extender as well. It worked well at first but started having problems with the 5G extended network. When trying to connect to it it'll either disconnect automatically immediately or show that access is denied.

Model : RE305

Firmware: 1.1.2 Build 20200212 Rel. 67183

Please help, thanks.

@rob_t

Hi, you can try to change channel to be 36.40.44 to check if it works since several persons said it would work.

If it doesn't work, please don't worry and tell us. We will follow up your case via email and our senior engineers will check the issue for you.

Have a nice day!

@RonaldSpeirsFoo

Hi, please confirm the below information for us.

1. tell us lights status on the RE305?

2. the model number of the main router?

3. please change the router's 5GHz channel to be 36.40.44 to check if it works.

4. please check if a restart of the extender can solve the issue or not.

5. the screenshot of settings-status and system log to check.

If you also have the issue with the RE305 extended 5GHz network, please also check the hardware and firmware version of the RE305.

Your issue in detail and the above information of 1-5 items.

Have a nice day!

@Solla-topee Tried that and no different. Don't worry, I'm sending it back, as I don't see this ever working.

I have a problem with my RE305 extender. The connection with the 5G extended network is unstable and after some hours disconnect automatically. How can resolve the problem?

1) All lighted up and stable except the 5ghz

2) Modem Router Tim Hub ADSL ADSL2+ VDSL EVDSL

3) Doesn't work

4) Restarted but doesn't work

Hi I am using a Huawei - HG8145V5 . I am trying to set up the RE 305 range extender using the tether app. The app scans and shows me my 2.4ghz ssid and connects to it. It does not show the 5ghz ssid. I have checked the SSID is not hidden too. So I went ahead with the 2.4ghz ssid and I culd see a 5Ghz extended ssid on the app and only list of networks. When I connect to the 5Ghz extended I am hardly getting 50MBPS of speed. I am on 200 MBPS plan and I am getting around 200 MBPS when i connect directly to the router on the 5ghz band. Can you please check this ??
