Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.28

Hi,

My deco m9 is operating in channel 44, which is the same as my neighbor's wifi. May I request the feature to be able to change wifi channel manually to avoid wifi congestion? Since you guys are benchmarking with Netgear orbi, they have the feature to change wifi channel.

Thanks

@Richdem68 @Archer-s @bigmac5753  and all

Per I said before, we have noticed that the feature to choose the wireless channel of the Deco units and we have noted that.

And we have forwarded all the feedback reported by you customers to our product engineer, therefore we can push them forward to evaluate the feasibility and release the new firmware to add this feature.

It is very suggested to keep an eye on official website for updates.

Good day.

Thanks for your suggestions. To be honest, we have reminded our R&D team, and the engineers are working on it now.

You can keep an eye on official website or Deco app for more updates.

Best regards.

@Kevin_Z

How long does it take to implement such a basic but neccessary feature ?????

Look at the frustrated posts all over the internet about this, You are losing sales and your reputation is being harmed. I just installed an M9 Plus for my neigbour and it automatiacally chose the most crowded channel.

Stability and network speed is terrible to the point it will be returned

@Richdem68 @Kevin_Z Such a feature should be available asap. My home installation is very complex, around 8 sonos speakers, cameras, bluetooth sensors, etc. A function to fix the channel is definitly needed to avoid interferences. The Deco auto channel selection is not reliable.

I have M4 but it seems those are camping on the most crappy wifi channel. So manual config is more than needed. If I cannot get confirmation when this functionality will be included I will just send those back.

@Kevin_Z

Any updates on this?

I can't understand how your basic older models have this feature, yet these newer ones do not.
