Hello, apologies for the super late reply.
If the C2300 router restarts when you try to connect to the PPTP VPN server, please try to install the below beta firmware and confirm:
Archer C2300 EU v1: https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202101/20210104/c2300v1_eu-up-2.0.2_Build_20190211_Rel.2997_sign_2019-02-11_13.55.17.zip
Archer C2300 US v1: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202005/20200518/C2300-US-PPTP-issue.zip
Refer to this guide to install the beta firmware manually:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2139/
I hope this helps.

What is the currnet network topology/diagram? How do you connect these devices together?
Does Archer C2300 works as a PPTP VPN server?
Does the 5GHz wifi led come one when it cannot be detected? And how does it back to work?
With other devices using 5GHz connected to the PPTP VPN, do they have the same issue like Windows 10?
Try to disable the firewall or antivirus software on Windows 10 to give it a shot.
Best regards.

Davy : Desktop (Wifl 5G) -> C2300 -> internet -> PPTP VPN Server
Does Archer C2300 works as a PPTP VPN server?
Davy: No
Does the 5GHz wifi led come one when it cannot be detected? And how does it back to work?
Davy: Yes, cannot detect the wifi 2.4G and 5G on my desktop and mobile,
Seem is the C2300 auto reboot, my nas log record, can show the droped the LAN connection
With other devices using 5GHz connected to the PPTP VPN, do they have the same issue like Windows 10?
Davy: is work fine on my mobile when using 5G wifi to connect the PPTP VPN
Try to disable the firewall or antivirus software on Windows 10 to give it a shot.
Davy: Tested, has same issues after disabled the AV and firewall,
I dont think is AV and firewall issues , because is work fine on win10 with 2.4G wifi, only drop connection with 5G wifi.

Hi Davy, sorry to tell you that we have no idea when new official firmware will be released.
Meanwhile, is it because of the security issue so that you cannot try the beta firmware?
Good day.

Same thing is happening but with Archer C2300, some settings are changed in router (dont know exactly which settings) and then 5Ghz in 80Mhz is not working at all or keep droping all the time.
So yes, people that use Archer C2300 would also need a new firmare to fix this serious bug-issue.
