@Kevin_Z I can also confirm that if you follow this example ( FOR A FUNCTIONAL VR600 )

that it is NOT necessary to place the V600 V2 router into TPFD mode in order to reinstate a previous version of the firmware

Simply rename the Firmware binary that you wish to load to  " ArcherVR600v2_tp_recovery.bin "

and the V600 V2 router will NOW except it using its inbuilt System Tools / Firmware Upgrade ( WEB Interface )

Using this process, I (today 09 / june / 2021 ) successfully reinstated V 0.2.0.0.9.1 over V 0. 4.0.0.9.1 

see attached screen shots

@DoubleQ PS: for me, this was never intended to be a permanent regression ::

as I only wanted to make changes to DHCP GROUP ( interfaces ) 

and the OLD V 0.2 version that I regressed to, does NOT run as smoothly as the V 0.4 version 

after these changes where completed, I immediately reinstated V 0.4.0.0.91
