Device icon wont save in tether app

When I change the icon of my connected devices in tether app the changes are not saved. The icons resort to the default ones that the app believes are correct.
Anyone seen this before?
Any suggestions to try?

May I have the firmware version of your C2300? Ensure it is updated.
BTW, how about the Tether version on your phone, is it iOS phone or Android phone? Ensure the Tether version is up-to-date as well.
