Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have a C60. Since I have upgraded my home internet connection to 1G and wifi signal is weak in some part or my house, I am planning to buy a Archer C6 as the main router and use the existing C60 as the extender.  Will I be able to bridge them up using WDS?

@Tin

You can enable the WDS bridging function under advanced-system tools-system parameters page to configure the Archer C60 as an extender to extend the wifi range.

Below is the instruction:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1555/

Any further problem, just let us know.

Best regards.

Thank you very much for your prompt respose.  So I presume the WDS mode of C6 is compactible with that of C60.

@Tin

You mentioned that you are going to buy Archer C6 as the main router and setup the Archer C60 as the repeater to extend the wifi range; in this way, it has nothing to do with the WDS feature on C6 itself;

All you need to do is to enable the WDS on the Archer C60 and scan the available wireless network and enter the password to connect to it.

You can follow the instruction mentioned on the last reply to do so.

May it help and have a nice day.

@Phani-14_10.

Hello,

May I know the model number of your TP-Link device? Basically, if you cannot find the SSID of your host wireless network, it is suggested to check that SSID is broadcasting correctly and you may try to change its wireless channel to 1/6/11 on 2.4G or 36/40/42 on 5G.

Good days.
