Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.0.3 Build 20180810 Rel. 62903

Hi all,

I am having issues with my Archer C2300 when it tries to connect to TP-Link cloud.

It will state that it is unable to connect or that the connection is timed out.

This happens when:

-I want to login the router to TP-Link cloud to use Tether app when not on LAN -> "Request timed out".

-I am checking newest firmware version online ( Advanced -> System Tools -> Firmware upgrade -> Online upgrade -> Check for upgrade -> Result is:"Unable to connect to cloud server. Please try again later")

I tried reinstalling current firmware, this did not help.

Does someone have a clue what is going on?

Thanks!

Dennis

Ah, I have found the problem.

Although I had the router set up to sync time with the time.nist.gov or alternitively time-nw.nist.gov, the time on the router was not in sync (it showed a totally different time).

After I synced time with pc, it all worked!

So if someone ever has the same issue I was having, check your time :-)

@DeNnZ

Thanks for your updates, glad to hear that you figured it out finally. Congrats.

The system time will affect the cloud functions, we can adjust the NTP server to make it work.

Now you can enjoy the internet and the cloud features.

Any further problem, do not hesitate to contact us.

@DeNnZ Thank you.  I had the same problem.  Manually set my time and it now is resolved.  Not sure what happened to the automated time, but just glad it is working again.
