Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20190115 rel.71848(4555)

Is there a way to setup cyberghost vpn on the router Archer c6?

According yo cyberghost I need to setup a vpn client but in the setup there is only option for vpn server.

@chrism

For your information, the Archer C6 V2 supports OpenVPN and PPTP VPN server only. It does not support VPN client.

For the 3rd party VPN, we are sorry that there is not much we can help cause we are not familiar with that.

You can contact their tech support to get some help.

@rhumbertgz

Hello, the home wireless router does not support VPN client yet; if you do need it, the SMB router can satisfy your needs.

@ Kevin_Z

Hi,

I don't want to make extra a new topic.

First of all I am not profi but I have some knowledge :)

1. I have dynamic IP from my ISP. Is it possible make VPN with Open VPN?

2. I've got problem with archer c6 1200 and open vpn.

I try to make VPN in my home with manual - Chapter 12.1 Use OpenVPN to Access Your Home Network . But it doesn't work.

I have found in manual sth like this:

Note:Before you enable VPN Server, we recommend you configure Dynamic DNS Service (recommended) or assign a static IP address for router’s WAN port and synchronize your System Time with internet.

I have default configuration in DDNS Section - I have'nt change anything.

Select the DDNS Service Provider: TP-Link, NO-IP or DynDNS. It is recommended to select TP-Link so that you can enjoy TP-Link’s superior DDNS service. Otherwise, please select NO-IP or DynDNS. If you don’t have a DDNS account, you have to register first by clicking Go to register...

that is log from ovpn config file:

client
dev tun
proto udp
float
nobind
cipher AES-128-CBC
comp-lzo adaptive
resolv-retry infinite
remote-cert-tls server
persist-key
persist-tun
remote my_ip_adresse 1194  <--- i have change hier because security
<ca>

I try to connect with Open VPN app and I have error message: There was an error attempting to connect the selected server.

Can someone help please.

Thanks a lot,
