MR600 - problem seeing received sms messages
I can't see my recieved sms messages in the admininistration interface even though everything else works fine.
I can see that I have recieved messages both on the Basic overview page as well as looking at the number of pages that should be availible in the Advanced->SMS->Inbox page (it displays that there are 2 pages of incoming messages but the list is completely empty). See my attached screenshots.
The Outbox and Drafts pages work fine though and display the correct messages supposed to be there as well as the correct number of pages. Also sending SMS messages from the router to my phone get throgh perfeclty fine.
In the Advanced->System tools->System Log I can see that I really recieve SMS messages. It displays for example: "USER: Receive a new gw sms and save it successfully." It also displays "ERROR: New sms count is 13."
So it seems to be some kind of bug concering just the Inbox page which is quite annoying since I need to see SMS messages to see what my provides tells me about my 4G usage status/tariffs etc.
Please advice.
Best regards,
M

Thanks for that. That is the same for me SMS messags only show in the Advanced / SMS / Inbox tab; not in the Basics Tab, though I am sure when I first upgraded to the latest patch, messages did show in Basics tab (my provider is 3Three)

@Kevin_Z this beta firmware (https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202003/20200331/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200325-rel37625]_up_boot_2020-03-30_10.57.20.zip) resolved my issue. I am now able to view SMSes on my MR600.
Please let us know when the firmware is out of beta.
Best Regards,
Riaan

I have the exact same issue as OP.
please look into it.
on my retail firmware, and now on the latest release Firmware Version:1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n
messages are there and counted but just not displayed.
small irritating issue, but the rest of the router function works beautifully.

So the official firmware released in late June doesn’t fix a major flaw that has been known about for many months??!! 😡
I’m using the April beta that fixes the SMS issue (for me at least) and gives me band selection on 4G, so it sounds like I’ll lose both features if I “upgrade”. Nobody expects a TP-Link product to have the flexibility and support of a Ubiquiti or Teltonika, but this really is taking the micky....

@Mark948579 @Kevin_Z @RoboTrigger
Same here. Before upgrading to the new firmware I double checked the April Beta update was still working by sending several messages back and forth with no problem at all. All the older messages were still displayed.
I upgraded to the new firmware (2020-06-28), all the old messages had dissappeared and no new messages are displayed. I sent several back and forward through Three Network. It is only the INBOX which has the problem, never a problem with OUTBOX, or DRAFTS, or SEND.
Is the April Beta software secure enough? I would rather go back to this Beta version if it is

The 2020-06-28 firmware upgrade did not show INBOX messages and old messags disappeared, after installing and device REBOOT.
Does this upgrade require a factory reset? I do not want to go down this route unless required.
