Hello.

 

After installing the latest version of Firmware, there was a problem that when you connect the router via USB to your computer it is not detected as a modem.

Before installing the latest Firmware, the router was detected as a USB modem.

 

What can I do with it so that, with the help of USB, the router is also treated as a USB modem in addition to charging?

What is the firmware version before you updated it? 

 

Is there any error message if it cannot access internet via the USB cable? 

 

Try to change another USB cable and USB port to plug it. And please ensure that the USB cable can transfer data, not power only.

@Kevin_Z Hi. I don't remember the exact number anymore, but when I checked it, it was one of the oldest versions of the software.

This latest version of the software has two more disadvantages:

 

- no battery percentage indicator on the router display (it was removed, in the old firmware it was)
- The status tab has no information on coverage technology: 2G / 3G / 4G

M7650 supports this feature to get internet from it via USB cable, it won't be deleted by the firmware upgrade, at leat not yet.

 

Try to change another USB cable and device to give it a go, meanwhile, please verify whether the PC has obtained valid IP address and gateway from it. Instruction attached as below:

For the new firmware, it may remove some information, but it will enhance the performance of the device itself. While we have noted that and keep an eye on the same reports.
