ok, @ajharvey and @Kevin_Z  i can confirm that the suggested solution now works. Connected two cables on the M4 in router mode then to the switch a discussed.

Guest network is isolated as designed.

Now the real question is, since M4 now handles all the traffic throughput of my LAN can it handle it ? i have a 50Mbit VDSL with 4 LAN computers and a few tablets and phones.

I was able to separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz by going into access point mode and enabling the "guest mode." I turned off 2.4ghz for the main access point and turned off 5ghz on the guest network. In access point mode I'm still able to communicate with devices on both SSID's. I'm not sure if this is the best use of the Deco's but it's what my setup currently needs as of now.

@Vassilis

Hello, the Deco M4 has the gigabit ethernet port, it can handle the current throughput.

Interface

2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports (WAN/LAN auto-sensing) per Deco unit

You can take more time to verify its performance and stability.

Nice day.

@Kevin_Z , Thanks Kevin, so far i have no issues.

Is there any backup option of the configuration of M4? you know, IPs, settings, different names on the connected devices and icons

Running in accesspoint mode....X60 3x

Would love to have possibility to have EXTRA parameter in GUESTMODE with only gateway

ip-address to get access FIXED only to outside network/internet

This will indeed allow guest to get to the outside ONLY, without access to local resources,

both on the WiFi and the cabled LAN before the master X60

Kind regards....(ps: just installed 30 minutes ago, but very happy sofar)

To everyone in this thread:

I am really happy to see that things can work this way too.
