M9. Unable to connect due to security/password error
At least 3 devices can't connect to deco M9.
- Logitech internet radio,
- eye-fi memory card
- Ford vehicle - SYNC.
My metwork has name: myhomenet
One device sees the network name as: "S][ESS] myhomenet" .
Another 2 see as myhomenet
Problem is with password.
Trying to connect and error - some just say unable to connect, logitech says authentication error.
All devices support WPA2-personal.
Old Linksys network - no problem.
Can be fixed or return to store till warranty expired?

Network name is simple enough - myhomenet.
The only thing helped was turning off fast roaming.
As soon as it is off, all devices see network name without [] characters and able to connect.

Hello, first you can try to create a simple wireless network name and check whether it can be detected correctly.
Then for the wireless password, please forget the network and reconnect to the TP-Link wifi.
Try to disable fast roaming and setup QoS as standard and clear all the high priority rules and disable the anti-virus.
Try to disable 5GHz first and enable 2.4GHz only; or you can enable guest network to give it a shot.
May it help and have a good day.

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that it works finally.
And it is not a bug, as you can see, it lists some notes on the fast roaming page, turning on this feature may result in some older wireless device being disconnected from the Deco network or not able to connect to the wifi.
Good day.

I did some research about this..
Read this. https://www.networkcomputing.com/wireless-infrastructure/wifi-fast-roaming-simplified
Main idea - use fast roaming only with WPA-enterprise.!
No more questions. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, it is not true, our Deco uses WPA2-PSK to secure the network and implement the fast roaming.
To make you customers understand it better, we will try to post an article to introduce it later.
Good day.

Yes fast route works with WPA personal too, for sure, but best if it is used with WPA enterprise.
Less incompatibility issues.

Hello, actually, WPAS-PSK is the most common security type. Which can compatible with most wireless devices.
And cause changing wifi name can fix it, it turns out that it is not the security type issue.
Good day.
