Hi Everyone,
I´m having an issue with my new Archer C6 router.
I´m trying to setup a WDS (bridge) to my main router (Huawei). If I set it up with a 2,4GHz it works well, ip adress is given to my computer, internet works well. As I need higher speed (500 Mbit optical connection), I´m trying to do the same on the 5GHz frequency. When I set it up (2,4GHz off), it gives me on the main page that WDS status "run", but I get no internet connection, even can´t ping my main router (but I get IP address with DHCP from the main router "192.168.0.1").
I´m not a professional, but have setup today also a new Archer C7 same way, to the same Huawei router (C7 for media room / C6 for living room bridge).
I´m running the latest available FW version for the C6 router. Is it possible that there is a FW issue with the 5GHz WDS function? Or I have a broken C6 router? Should I return it with warranty claim? (exchange it for another C6 / or it´s a known issue/bug?).

@Kevin_Z Hi, I have Nokia ONT device G-2425G-A. After selecting WDS1, it worked for a while but then suddenly it stopped working. What do I do?

Nokia ONT device G-2425G-A seems to be a mobile phone, am I right?
Do you also experience the same issue when connecting the C6 to your main router via 5G WDS? Can I have the brand and model of the main router?
Where did you choose WDS1, can I have some screenshots also?

@Kevin_Z I also cannot get WDS on 5ghz working with two identical TP-Link routers: Archer C2300.
It works well on 2.4ghz but not on 5ghz.
I tried using different WDS modes (I also don't see the option on the firmware and need to inspect the html/css and remove the "display: none;" on the hidden field)
The only way I got 5ghz working is when I first use 2.4ghz WDS, then switch to 5ghz WDS. But after a reboot, the WDS link don't auto start (showing "WDS Status Disabled" on the status page).
And as I said, I'm using the exact same router model as my main one, I expected the WDS feature to be a breeze...

I just got this router and I have the same issue the WDS is not working at all all the settings are correct and on the status page the WDS show as run but there is no internet I got the Router replaced and got a new device but has the same issue.
I was able to get it work once with the 2.4 G but after the reboot of the router it stopped working
The so called WDS MODE Setting is not to be found on my settings page And I have also tried to do the changes on the HTML code that has been mentioned but was not abe to get that setting visible
The router workes fine as AP mode with wired connection
