Model: Archer C9
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 build 20171215 rel 35219(4555)

had continual disconnects at random times, updated FW to latest in a hope that it fixes issues, but it didnt, it perhaps maed it worse with each update, i firstly saved the settings , updated, then reloaded the settings, still the same , i have fully reset it and reset all the info manually , still the same.

The problem is: wifi is seen but has no internet connection,  drops at random times, today i was using my phone wifi connected  working well and then it couldnt load anything, speed test app couldnt connect, switched wifi to my airport which is on lan1 and no internet coneection,  i come back to the c9 router and the power light is flashing and resyncing , we have fibre and its been checked by spark our provider, they can see disconnections but say its not bad and is nothing from their end, i can be using the browser on my laptop  and ever so ofter it drops the connection and  cant connect to the server, was working fine whe we first got it, before i updated the firmware, ill post up a log file, is it time to dispose of this junk?

i know this is not a DD-WRT forum but has anyone had any experience with it on a c9v3?

Re:C9 archer v3 issues, last attempt before it becomes a "will it crush" video on youtube

@brokentp

You mentioned DD-WRT, did you install the third party firmware on the Archer C9 v3?

What is the led status of the C9 when the connection drops out? At that time. did the devices still connect to the wifi but no internet access or they disconnected from the wifi network at all?

Can you get internet from Archer C9 by wired cable in the meantime?

Try to change the wireless settings, like wireless channel, and channel width; channel 1, 6 and 11 for 2.4GHz, channel width as 20MHz, for 5GHz, use channel 36, 40 or 44, and channel width as 40MHz.

Besides, when the C9 lost connection, can you get internet from the modem directly?

Good day.
