@Chaplin

Do you mean 30MB and 120MB which is 240mbps/1Gbps, so do others?

How do you test the writing speed? Via ethernet or wireless? You can show us a screenshot of the writing process.

With computer connected to the Archer C9, please click here to verify the wired negotiation speed.

Note: The steps are the same, while you need click ethernet connection or local area connection.

Good day.

@Chaplin

You know what is stupid? To buy the same brand twice, after you were dissapointed first time. I know I did that and now I regret it. After the horrible WDR3600 which froze about 2-3 times a day, now I just bought the Archer C7 only to realize that it's USB 2.0 speed is 5MB/s instead of 35 MB/s.

TP-link has its own "meaning" of USB speed and that is usually about 5-6 times slower than it should be.

Now I was looking maybe to upgrade to C9 (how stupid of me, right? Instead I could try the Tenda AC15 or the Dir 882) so I was looking for info about the USB 3.0 speed - and I found your post.

Yes, the USB 3.0 port of Archer C9 is only capable of about 30 MB/s (MegaBYTES /s) give or take, while an USB 3.0 drive connected to PC (not SSD but regular drive - Seagate Expansion 4TB) can get about 195 MB/s.

Some other tests show even worse performance:

In fact, the Tenda AC15 is half the price and twice the transfer speed.

Here are some other options for makers that know how to properly use USB:
