TL-WN727N v5.21 won't connect to VodafoneWifi, but TL-WN725N v.3 would.
I recently purchase a Wifi Adapter upgrade, from 725N to 727N for my Win 7 SP1
Downloaded driver from the site as usual
Installed the driver perfectly, and I can see my Vodafone Wifi. (even better with full signal, 725N only got 3 bars)
For some reason, the TL-WN727N won't connect to it.
I don't know if this has something to do with the problems
I've got a driver for v5.20, but my adapter says in the back is v5.21
there are no other driver except for v5.20
Can someone help?
Thanks
Edward

Below is the download link of the driver for TL-WN727N V5.2, which is available for your device.

Is there any error message indicates that you failed to connect to it?
Try to change another wireless network name or channel and reconnect to it and test whether it works.

@Kevin_Z that link is the same driver I've been installed previously for 727N.
the same problem persist.
727N can see but won't connect to vodafone wifi, but my 725N can connect to it.
I even managed to read another thread about 800N series having the same problem, and tried using the manual driver to no avail.
funny thing is, the 727N can connect to my office wifi (not vodafone). and both has public IP address.
does 727N can't read vodafone wifi only?

Thanks for your explanation.
As far as I know, there is no compatibility issue between the netework adapter and the Vodafone wifi.
Besides, the 727N can detect the vodafone's wifi; try to change the wireless channel of the 2.4GHz of the vodafone router to give it a go.
Still the same, please tell us the OS version of your laptop, the driver version you have installed and the model number of the vodafone router.
Good day.

Hi, so I managed to look at the router settings.
Vodafone Wifi is always set at 2.4 GHz.
Channel is automatic, and mode is b/g/n.
So I'm pretty sure it's standard settings.
Not for high speed 5.0 Ghz internet which can only be accessed within 10 meters of router location.
Let me try another solution for now.
I'm going to test my vodafone into another PC and see if they can connect using 727N
so, I'll let u know soon in the afternoon.
Thanks for helping
In worst case, this is my spec
