Model: Archer C3150
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.0 0.9.1 v005f.0 Build 170927 Rel.57074n

I have a subscription for 250 Mbps download (/25 Mbps up). When I connect my laptop straight to the cable coming from the modem, Speedtest.org shows the 250/25 Mbps.

If I then connect the modem cable to the C3150 (Ïnternet port), the Speedtest in the router ("Network map - tab Basic") also shows the 250/25 Mbps.

However, when I connect my laptop to either outgoing port, the download is limited to ~80 Mpbs, upload still around the expected 20 Mbps. I use all CAT6 cables.

Any suggestions how to revolve this?

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for your quick response.

The speed shown on the NICs is allways  1.0 Gbps. Sorry to say, but I can't find the "negotiation speed of the LAN ports" in the Basic-network map.

However, the good news: I disabled the QoS for my wifi-extender and now all connections work at full speed!

I don't think I really need the QoS, therefore: Problem solved (or at least bypassed).

Thanks for your support!

Kind regards, Herbert

@HerbertV

Thanks for your requesting, we will do some troubleshooting first.

With computer connected to the Archer C3150 by wired cable, please click here to verify the wired negotiation speed.

Note: The steps are the same, while you need right click on ethernet connection or local area connection.

Then please login to the web UI of the Archer C3150 and go to Basic-network map page to check the negotiation speed of the LAN ports.

Besides, have you enabled QoS on the router? If so, you can turn it off and give it a go.

Best regards.

@HerbertV

Thanks Herbert for your reply, glad to hear that you figured it out finally.

For the negotiation speed of the LAN port, you can refer to https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2427/

And you can take more time to verify its performance.

Any further problem, just let us know.
