P7 Deco (1.0), after update to 1.3.1 Build 20190704 Rel. 46693: daily crashes

Model: Deco P7
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20190704 Rel. 46693

Hi there,

I have 3 P7 in acces point mode. The first is connected bij cable to my cable modem. The second is on the second floor (connected by wifi, and maybe powerline?). The third is on the third floor and connected to the second by wifi.

Before the update I did experience once every 2 weeks a crash of the main Deco. Now it seems to 'crash' sometimes already after an hour. A reboot or powercycle corrects the problem. I could log in today to my main deco and looked at my log-files in 'crash; status, but I cannot decypher them. The general info ony showed : no internet.

All the LEDS on the deco's are red. After restart they are green.

Does anyone knows a solution or a direction I have to look into?

Paul

@Paul112

We have not received feedback about the firmware issue, we will do some troubleshooting and try to fix it first.

1. Is cable modem a cable modem router cause the Deco works in access point mode?

2. What about the stability of the front-end device when the P7 stops working? With your computer connected to the modem directly, what is the IP address and default gateway? Below is the instruction:https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/838/

3. When Deco P7 lost connection, please connect your computer to the Deco P7 directly to check the IP and gateway and verify any error message pops up on the Deco app.

4. If possible, once P7 stops working, please login to the web UI and save the system log and export it to us.

5. Have you ever tried to configure the slave Deco as the main unit to do a comparison test? Instruction as below:https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2400/

6. Besides, try to swap their locations.

Good day.
