Hello TP-Link,

I have just wasted a lot of time on a problem caused by a major bug in your firmware that you've known about for more than a year.

When entering a DHCP reservation, if the Client Name contains a space, your DHCP server stops handing out IP addresses. This is a major flaw.

Bugs happen, but what is really incompetent is your leaving it broken for so long – this thread from October 2018 shows that your tech support people knew about this at least a year ago.

What shoddy behaviour. Do better please and have more respect for your customers.

@ssk

Thanks for your requesting.

I totally understand how frustrated you feel; and we do value you customers' feedback; We have forwarded to our product department and they can work on it.

For now, as a workaround, you can remove the blank space or the special characters first to enable the address reservation.

And you can keep an eye on our official website for the updates.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused here; Have a nice day.
