Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.0.3 Build 20180810 Rel. 62903

Hi,

I am having recurring issue with FTP on Archer C2300. USB becomes unavailable via FTP and the only way how to acces it through FTP is to stop and start sharing (through USB sharing -> USB storage device from router web menu).

Even when FTP is not accessible (from Windows, Android and Linux machines, both ethernet and WiFI), the share is accessible (e.g. cifs), therefore it seems as FTP service issue.

Regards, Boris.

@bbo

So the FTP service does not work sometimes which you need turn off the USB sharing settings and turn it on again to make it work, and the other USB sharing functions still work properly, right?

Please show us a screenshot of the USB sharing settings' page.

In the meantime, any error message pops up when you failed to access the FTP service? Please show us a picture of it.

Have you ever tried to change another USB drive to give it a go? And you can tell us the current model number and capacity of the USB drive.
