Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

Working fine so far except the speedtest. Previous stable build was also good till it just magically decide to reset all settings.
Honestly, tplink products are subpar. I will not buy any tplink products in the future. The recent releases are garbage

Unfortunately, the problem doesn't seem to be resolved.
I have total failure with the 5G network.
Not a major improvement yet.
I have now set channel 44 and frequency to 180Mhz again.
I'm testing.

Apart from the router resetting itself on its own I have had no issues. Both wireless and wired connections can max the wan speed easily. On a wifi 6 equipped client, both range and speed are awesome, much better than both the asus ac68u and c5400 ( replaced by the ax6000 )
The router is stable but I still don't understand why it reset itself

Hey all, just wanted to join the club. My AX6000 also drops it's 5Ghz signal. Sometimes even a reboot wont get it back up, I just use the 2.4Ghz for so many days and my 5Ghz just all the sudden shows up.
The router itself things everything is fine in the software, but not a single device in my house can see it.
I tried the beta software in this thread, it did nothing, still can't see my 5Ghz currently. If I mess with settings on the 5Ghz channel when it goes down, sometimes the guest network will be broadcasting on reboot?!? It shows as disabled on the routers software page, but it is broadcasting non the less.
This is my first TP-Link, replaced an old Netgear, pretty convient that the problems didn't start happening to me until just outside of my return period with Bestbuy, though I'm sure just bad luck. Seemed to all start when I did a firmware update about a month ago.
Would be nice to know if this is hardware issue, or if it's just software.
Starting to suspect it's hardware, and that is why they haven't been able to create a resolution.
Hoping that is not the case, I'll follow the thread, but I might just end up contacting my credit card company before their policy expires, and get a refund to buy another Netgear, along with leaving a scathing review about this one.

Hello, sorry to respond late.
May I know the firmware version of this AX6000 now? Is it already on the below beta firmware? If not yet, please give it a go:
For the 5G signal issue, do you mean it disappeared and no device can detect it? Please try to reset the router and set it up from scratch to check again.
If the 5G connection is not stable, please try to change the wireless channel and channel width to give it a go first.
Thanks.

@Solla-topee my AX 6000 router firmware is up to date but this happens to me. I can connect to the 2G network but the 5G network is very unstable. Today I had a power cut and after that 5g network can't be connected by my devices. I tried rebooting my router but it doesn't improve the situation
