Hello,

 

my TL-WR840 keeps failing at  Auto Mail Feature.
The log says: "Wrong user name or wrong password of mail account."
I tried hotmail and gmail either, but no luck.
Does anyone knows how to configure it properly?
I suppose my credentials set properly.

Only when you select Authentication, do you have to enter the User Name and Password in the following fields; you can disable it and test whether the auto mail feature works proprly. 

 

Still the same, please show us a picture of the mail settings page. And please tell us the current hardware version of the TL-WR840N.

thanks for the respond.
I tried the way to disable authentication, but it says in the log:

 

"wrong mail address. "

then I turned back the authentication, and the log says again::

" Wrong user name or wrong password of mail account."




Please check the attachment about the mail settings!
The sender email address is mambomuchomambo32@gmail.com, and the belonging google user name is karak0206.
The recepient email address is karak0206@hotmail.com.
