Tether app icons

I used to have an Archer C9 and I had multiple choice of clients icons i.e. smartplug, alarm system, wifi switches and so on.
Now I own an Archer C90 and it has just a small selection of icons. Anybody knows why, aren't those in the app?

Could you please show us a picture of the available device icon on the Tether app?
What is the current Tether app version number?
And may I know is custom option available now?

Hi,
I am using version 3.3.9, which is the latest version available and as far I know there is no custom option. As you will see, I only have a choice of 8 icons, pretty slim.

I got your point, I checked the Tether app on my iPhone, which is 3.3.5, and there are 8 icons available now.
Do you remember what the previous app version is?
And we will confirm this change on the device icon with related engineer.

No, sorry, I cannot recall what was the version of the app. I know it was updated a couple times so was the C9 Archer router. But with C90(owned for a couple of months only) I am not sure if the app was updated nor the C90 router

Thanks for your updates. I confirmed with our engineer and I was told that there is a plan to add more device icons on the Tether app, while the custom option was removed in advance.
You can use the current Tether app for now with customized device name, in the meantime, you can keep an eye on official website/Tether app for the updates.

The screenshot I had of the w version used was downloaded from Google Play, I have no apple devices and I have checked if there was an update but none
