Block instagram from router
Hello,
I have a TP-LINK Archer C50 router. From the "access control" menu, in the left panel, I have created a rule to lock the access to any urls containing the key word "intagram".
No way, I have still access to Instagram, I cannot stop the access to this website.
How can I block the access to instagram from my LAN ? It seems this url no to be true one or something else...
Thank you,

Thank you for your answer.
Eventually I have succeeded to solve the issue by blocking all the ports from 1 to 65535 for the keyword "instagram".
You can do this by creating a "host" for a range of IP address or a single static IP addresses of the device concerned by the restriction. The creation of a host can be done under "access control" menu.

Below is the instruction to setup the access control on the Archer C50.

After that, try to clear the browser cache and change another web browser to access it.
Please notice that it cannot block APP now.
Good day.

I also had this problem, but I couldn't solve it myself, so I called a specialist. I wish I had seen this post earlier, then I could save some money.

I do not understand why you needed to block Instagram? There are so much useful information and stuff you need in life.

I didn't know you could do that. Thanks for sharing! Whenever my little cousins visit us there is no way to make them spend actual time with us, they would just spend the whole evening staring in their smartphones. One might say that I could turn off the wifi completely, well that's not an option as the adults still need it. And also if the kids are not dumb and can see that it's not on and they become very annoying. Blocking YouTube and Instagram would be the perfect solution and now I know how to.
