Model: TL-WN821N
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I wanted to find the correct drivers for my old WN821N for Windows 7 or Windows 10 but I didn't know the correct Hardware Version. Please check my photo of the device. According to your examples it seems to be V1. Is this correct?

And if it is V1, there are no drivers for this version. Is this also correct that this device in V1 does absolutely not work with Windows 7 or Windows 10? So that the only way for me is to throw it away???

@vso

Hello, from the picture attached, it is V3.

Updated on 2121-01-22:

The TL-WN821N V3 does not support windows 10, while it supports Windows 7 and has official driver for Windows 7.

If any of you got this TL-WN821N v3 adapter, and you have updated your Windows system to the latest Windows 10, you can also check if you can try the driver for the Windows 8 on the official website:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/tl-wn821n/v3/#Driver

If your TL-WN821N hardware version is v4/v5/v6, you may try the latest public driver:

May it help.

This comes up as one of the top matches for "tl-wn821n v3 driver windows 10 forum" search and this info may help others finding it.

Windows 10 20H2 doesn't seem to have a build-in driver for this USB wireless adapter, but the Windows 8 driver from 2012-11-30 lised on the TP-Link driver page works just fine on Windows 10.

Hello Kevin,

thank you for your answer.

Okay, you can get another network adapter which supports Windows 10 to enjoy wireless connection.

Like Archer T2U, Archer T4U and so on.

Good day.
