Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20180810 rel.36826(4555)

I updated around 11 month back to a new release of update by TP-Link India version 1.0.2 Build 20180810 rel.36826(4555) released on their support page but now while browsing their webpage I see they have removed it. Later on researching the firmware I found that it is Japan Firmware because on the main zipped file it says, but inside it says ARCHER C6(JP).

Now my query is that if I flash the firmware that is correct for my region will it cause any issues?

I have attached the Update file if anyone needs it.

@rounakr94

Thanks for your requesting. We tried to check the upload history, and we found that the 1.0.2 Build 20180810 rel.36826(4555) firmware has been released on Japan local website only.

Back to your case, may I know what is the country version of the Archer C6? It is printed on the back panel, next to the model number.

And if it is the JP version, then you do not have to flash back to the EU version, while if it is EU version but with JP firmware installed, it is not suggested to flash back to the EU version cause it may ruin the router.

If it does not affect the performance of the router, it is recommended to let it go for now.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Hey, sorry for the late reply. My hardware is EU version. I contacted TP-Link India via call and they said that the firmware upload was some server error or some backend error as the zip was EU but firmware was JP.

Anyways I flashed the latest EU firmware from support website of TP Link India and router works fine for now and the signal drop issue also seems to be resolved.

Here is the new details.

Firmware version 1.2.0 Build 20191014 rel.33289(4555)
