Hello

I have an Archer C7 and have been setting all my devices up today. I have been using the tether app on my tablet, adding a device and changing each device name to something i will recognise.

When i log into the router on my laptopn the friendly names dont appear just a lot of "unknown" any idea how i can get them to appear from the tether app onto the router web interface?

Thanks

May I know what is the hardware version of the Archer C7? You can find it on the back panel. https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/46/

What is the firmware version as well? Please ensure that it is the latest one.

And may I know when did you buy this router and when did you have this issue?

Good day.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

Please ensure that the firmware of Archer C7 itself is up to date. In the meantime, please update the Tether app.

After that, please verify whether it works.

Thanks for your reply. I have confirmed that to make multiple users (in the same LAN or logged in with cloud account) to manage the devices specifically, the device name is stored locally. It won't be synchronized at cloud end or other local devices.

You may need customize the device name on each device you may take to control the Archer C7.

May it help.
