Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20161206 rel.60287

I recently bought a Helea smart plug which works on a WiFi network.

I tried to configure it but, it could not connect with my Archer C60 router. But, when I tried with mobile phone hotspot, then the plug is working.

But all other phones, laptops are able to connect to router. Only this smart plug is not connecting. What could be the issue? Should I change any settings?

Solved

I solved it by a trick. 

You need 2 phones and Archer c60 router.

Step 1  Use one phone for hotspot and connect by another phone

Step 2  In Archer c60 in 2.4Ghz network, Rename it with the same name as phone hotspot and same password. 

Step 3 Turn of phone hotspot, Now helea bulb will connect to the router, and use it from anywhere. 

Step 4 Now connect your phone to the router and use the app to control bulb.

Hello, try to change the wireless settings of the Archer C60, including the wireless channel and channel width. You can use channel 1, 6 and 11 for 2.4GHz; 36, 40 and 44 for 5GHz. 

 

And you can change the wifi name and password and reconnect the smart plug to it.

 

Meanwhile, you can turn on 2.4GHz only with 5GHz disabled to give it a go.

I have tried changing several setting but didn't work. Finally, I have reset the router and the smart plug is able to connect.

Issue has started again. I have reset the smart plug. And also tried resetting the router too. But it is not connecting

That will work for sure.. thanks for the trick.. However, I solved it by flashing stock rom of router.. it worked there after without any issues.. if I face such issue again, I'll do this trick.
