Archer c6 "no internet access" and sometime not connecting to the wifi saying "limited connection"
I've faced basiccally two kind of problems. Am I received a faultly product?
- Sometimes in some of my connected devices showing "no internet access" but at the same time the other routers connceted with same internet have internet access.
- Sometimes Some device could not connected to the router but the wifi are showing in the list. After some time of tring it show "limited connection" even I'm setting beside the router.
Every time at the time of problem I instantly connected to my another router which is tplink TL-WR841N, connected to the main WAN and that was working perfectly. Archer c6 is connected with the WR841n with wire and dynamic IP setup.
The problem always fixed every time after restart the router. I need to restart the router almost two to three times a day which the other one is on from long time. I've even forgot when I've turned off my WR841N.
Does I've received a faulty archer c6.

@Kevin_Z ,
Whenever a WIFI Device shows No Internet, I tried tp ping the device and below is the response
PING 192.168.0.161 (192.168.0.161): 64 data bytes
Reply from 192.168.0.161: bytes=64 ttl=64 seq=1 time=4.220 ms
Reply from 192.168.0.161: bytes=64 ttl=64 seq=2 time=119.080 ms
Request timed out!
Reply from 192.168.0.161: bytes=64 ttl=64 seq=4 time=65.680 ms
--- Ping Statistic "192.168.0.161" ---
Packets: Sent=4, Received=3, Lost=1 (25.00% loss)
Round-trip min/avg/max = 4.220/62.993/119.080 ms
Internet LED status is green in the Router. and the other wifi devices has active internet connection
Ping response is same when ever the device has internet connection, so I believe this is not an indicator of the connection drop.
Tried to set the C6 in AP mode, and the "No Internet" issue is appearing there as well.
Is there a case of the device over heating?, the router is pretty much warm , and it is not too hot. Do I have to put a fan or something to cool it down.

Is this 192.168.0.161 the IP address on the client that loses the internet access? What if you try to ping 192.168.0.1 on this client when it loses the internet access? How about ping 8.8.8.8?
May I know when did you purchase the router? Does the issue exist then you begin to install and use it? You may try to put it in a well-ventilated location or mount it vertically on a stand that permits the free flow of air, and use a fan to cool the router if necessary.

@synekvl So after a few days I'm able to say that most probably unabling the Mesh function works in my case for my router. Since last Wednesday 2.4G wi-fi connection seems to be stable. I hope it will not change after sending of this message
Cheers
Vladimir

As asked previously, can you please check and show us the link speed on that device connected to the C6 5G network, is it normal? You can check it as this if it is a computer:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/
Have you tried to modify the 5G wireless settings on the C6, such as wireless channel and channel width? It is suggested to run a Wi-Fi analyzer to find a clear channel, then change the channel width to 40MHz, reboot the router and reconnect to the wireless network, then confirm.

The link speed between this Windows PC and the C6 is not good, as you can see it only negotiate at 130Mbps, so you won't get higher speed than this. You are suggested to update the driver of the wireless card on this PC first, then try to modify the 5G wireless channel width to 80MHz, change the channel to one that with less interference, you can install a Wi-Fi analyzer on the PC, then review the surrounding channels, choose a clearer one.
How about the link speed on the phone? Can I have a screenshot also?

@Kevin_Z my network card driver is the newest recently ive update it ,i changed the channel width to 80 MHZ and channel to 48 its the clearest the link speed keeps changing 433,390,200,130 mb its not stable ,i cant check my link speed on ios the ios system doesn't has something like that ,in my opinion i think its a router firmware issue so now am on 1.1.0 firmware its kinda kinda stable am waiting from u a old or new stable firmware that i can install it
Best regards

I highly believe the root cause for WiFi 2.4G failure is the AUTO channel setting: if you configure an explicit channel (if you have congested area the suggestion is to chose one of of 1,6,11) then all will be fine and stable. If you leave it on AUTO then most probably it crashes and doesn't recover.
I have an explict channel configured on my router for 3 weeks already and no problem anymore.
This can explain also why it always worked on Wifi 5G: I had all the time an explicit channel value.
PS: how to do it is described here: Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router (new logo) (tp-link.com)
@Kevin_Z : I suggest you let know the developers these conditions and to check their code if there is any corner-case scenario for AUTO failing to negociate a new channel and the sudden death of the wifi service; maybe it occurs only in congested areas, who knows?
