Hello friends.

I bought a Tp-Link C5400 router about 6 months ago from Amazon and I have been having constant disconnection problems.

The symptoms are:
• The link LED (WAN) changes from blue to yellow and the connection drops;
• The connection drops and remains so until I close the sites I'm browsing;
• The ISP modem: TC7337 (connected in bridge) maintains the normal LEDs, without presenting the link drop.

• LOG files always follow the same standards below:

2020-01-25 12:16:45 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run WAN1_ON
2020-01-25 12:16:45 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run WAN0_OFF
2020-01-25 12:16:45 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run LAN_OFF

2020-01-25 12:15:48 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run WAN1_ON

2020-01-25 12:04:09 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run WAN0_OFF
2020-01-25 12:04:09 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run LAN_OFF

2020-01-25 12:04:00 led-controller[1080]: <6> 288051 Start to run LAN_OFF

This disconnection usually happens when I enter a website where I will make a purchase (LATAM, GOL, etc.) and others outside Brazil (Ali Express, Wish, etc.).
Sometimes it happens on speed test sites like: https://www.speedtest.net/en
Others on sites where they need authentication, sometimes there is a downfall.

The hardware version is V1.0 and I am in the latest firmware version made available by the support site (1.0.4 Build 20170731 Rel. 74060 (US)).
I do not use IPV6, VPN, QOS and Parental Control.
The NTP server is ok, keeping the time and date always up to date.
The number of devices connected simultaneously does not exceed 6 and are distributed between the bands (2.4G, 5G-1 and 5G-2).
I requested the replacement of ISP's modem as a last attempt, I used it in bridge and router mode, but the symptoms persist.

This is a problem that bothers me a lot and I have not found a solution to it.
Does anyone experience the same problem and managed to find a solution?

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately my Archer C5400 router continues to experience constant connection losses.
Tp-link hasn't developed a firmware for this router in a long time (last in 2017).

Unfortunately I will have to look for another brand to replace it.

@Alex_Mendes Conseguiu achar uma solução? Simplismente o meu archer C9 começou a fazer isso de minuto a minuto ele derruba a porta wan e conecta novamente.

@MarianL

Hello, sorry that I didn't realize this post previously.

Please ensure you are running the latest firmware on the local official website first and confirm again.

If the WAN connection is still not stable, please verify what is the region version of your C5400 and how about its hardware version, thanks.

@Kevin_Z

I'm getting these same log entries exactly. However, my internet keeps slowing down. When I reboot my modem the speed picks up for about 50 minutes then speed back down again.

This is a US modem with the current firmware for v2.0 router version.

Is this error causing the internet slow down?

@AZgang

Are you running the latest firmware on the C5400? Please try to reset it to factory defaults if the firmware is already the latest, reconfigure it from scratch, don't modify the Advanced settings like QoS, then confirm again.
