Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Latest

Good evening

Yesterday I bought an Archer C6 wifi router,

I installed it and it all worked seemingly well (access point mode) , the bandwidth was good, all the LEDs were solid green, but sometimes, randomly the ethernet connection to my computer will drop, the "Internet on" LED will go orange for a few seconds then everything will go back to normal and the LED to green.
This happens at seemingly random times, from 5 minutes apart to one full hour appart.
It is extremely annoying since i play online video games a lot.

I have tried swapping ethernet cables, updating the firmware and swapping the port the router is connected to on my modem.
The problem cannot be coming from my home main modem since when it was plugged directly into my computer there was never any drops or issur of the sort.

Thank you for reading and your answers

@Moff
Ok so it happened again, and in the system log i can see UPNP service starts and stops

I assume this is what causes the problem.

If anybody has any idea how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated

@Moff

Hello, we will do some troubleshooting first to locate this issue.

What is the current network diagram? Which port of Archer C6 connects to the modem?

When Archer C6 stops working, please connect your computer to the modem directly and verify whether you can access internet.

If it works well, you can connect the computer back to the Archer C6 by wired cable and clone the MAC address and verify whether it works.

Good day.
