Deco M5 v1 AP - Latency issue

Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Last

I notice that donnecting through the deco WiFi has a high latency. I thought this was solved earlier in a FW, but seems like not. Speed is regular if measured, but pages and FB i.e. are slow to load and if I change network to another router (unifi), the same page/FB loads normally.

what can it be?

@Mizio

Hello, have you ever tried to ping the websites which load slowly?

Try to change the DNS of the Deco to 8.8.8.8 and verify whether it works.

Besides, you can connect the main Deco to the modem only and verify whether you have the same issue?

Good day.

Hi I’m having the same problem as well. My deco m5 is directly wired into my Hiltron cable modem (bridge mode) and my m5 is in router mode. I can play any games because it keeps lagging although the speed test is fine. I’m runny 1.4.2 beta and still have the issue. Any tips?

@Mcmcmc

Hello, you can connect your device to the cable modem directly to verify whether you have the same latency issue.

On the Deco app, go to the More-Advanced-UPnP page to enable it.

Besides, you can disable the antivirus on the Deco app to give it a shot.

I eventually rearranged everything and added a gateway to the network, since then the issue seems gone.
thanks anyhow
