Hey all,

i bought one of these to produce a WiFi network from my studio, which is hardwired to my router in my house. It is too far to extend the network wirelessly but the sales assistant said to plug the Ethernet into it and that would work. It does actually work, but creates  all sorts of problems with the connection in my house.

am i right in assuming that the Ethernet on thé RE200 is an 'outgoing la port rather than in 'incoming' port and so I have the wrong thing?

any advice?

cx

@Whatever21 RE200 supports two operation mode: RE mode(Default), and AP mode. See the different below.

RE mode: Extend the existing the wireless range.

Topology: Router)))) Wireless((((RE200))))wireless((( PC/phone

AP mode: Transfer the wired network to a wireless one.

Topology: Router---cable--RE200))) wireless(( PC/Phone

@Whatever21

Hello, you need configure RE200 as an access point to boost wifi signal by connecting it to the main router by wired cable.

Below is the instruction:

May it help.

@Whatever21 So, I did all that as per the instructions, but now whenever I try to join either the 2.4 or 5qhz networks it tells me I have an incorrect password, I"ve tried a few different things but I'm at a bit of a loss...

Any ideas?
