Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TL-PA511KIT

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

Using Windows 8 and the Win Cap Utility is not compatible.
Can you help.
I have managed eventually to connect a pair.
Also I am not clear how to factory reset a device without the Utility program(cant use because of the Win Cap issue). Eventually I assume I got there.
My Version is v1.1 is this version 1 or 2?
They do seem to be very "fickle " devices.
10 metres away on the same ring main only give 40-60% and 200Mbps.
Any comments?

Utility is compatible with WinXP/2003/Vista/7 at present.
V 1.1=V 1
Try this and you may improve rate. http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=409

not sure how far you got. You can install the WinPcap Utility on Windows 8 using compatibility mode. You have to install the WinPCap first with compatibility set to Win7 from here. Then install the PowerLine Utility which will install fine once WinPcap is installed.

Yes, you can. There's a reset button (hidden) on the side. Read the manual!
