VR400 "Please configure your DNS manually"
My connection is disconnects for a few minutes and gives this error. "Please configure your DNS manually"
I am connected with ethernet. If I turn off the wifi, it will be fixed immediately. Or after a while it gets better on its own. İ'm using 8 Mbit internet. It seems that this is a chronic problem. Then why you guys not doing firmware upgrade? What do I do with this faulty modem? Shame on you tplink.

After updating, my speed dropped in half. Are you sure it is resolved?

Hello,
For the speed issue, please provide us more details.
What is the speed you can get with your computer connected to the modem by ethernet cable? What's the download/upload bandwidth you paid?
Please test the wireless speed(2.4G and 5G) as well with a computer connected to the TP-Link wifi only, and click here to verify the wireless negotiation speed.
Here is the suggestion you can give it a go. Customize the wireless settings to optimize its performance, including wireless channel and channel width.
2.4GHz: channel 1, 6 or 11, channel width as 40MHz; 5GHz, channel 36, 40 or 44, channel width as 80MHz.
May it help, nice day.

What's the negotiation speed on the computer when you connect it to the modem with Ethernet cable? And what's the bandwidth provided by your ISP?
When testing the speed, it is suggested to try different devices and cables, test modem's different LAN ports. Are you able to send us the whole screenshot of the Advanced--Status page?

She's not gonna answer that :) Because this is chronic problem.
I installed the latest version(Archer_VR400(EU)V2_200706) still getting ridiculous error. My old modem(Airties rt-212) does not disconnect despite all the wifi connections.
Try to use it without wifi because there is nothing to do unfortunately :(
tp-link a company that does not stand behind products.
Curse on you tp
