Hi,

 

I am having disconects everytime i start downloading or play a games. Internet ligt going off for 2-3 sec and come back again. if I am only browsing internet internet connection looks stable. Could you please help me with it.

This is a known issue with all the 4G routers but it looks like you are having it worse than everyone else, I'm using the same Archer MR400 router but a different hardware version, HW v1.

 

When I first received my Archer MR400 the firmware that came with it would slow down my internet every few hours and replacing it with another SIM would restore the internet speed to normal. I had figured out what was causing it after checking the system logs. It was the same disconnection problem as seen in your system logs, when that happens it starts to auto reconnect and that would slow down my internet till I can no longer browse.

 

I tried to update my router to the latest firmware and that only made it worse, my internet would start to crawl, no amount of restart, factory reset, powering off or replacing with another SIM card worked so I restored the old firmware and I can use the internet for a bit longer now but I'm still experimenting with a few settings. This is a firmware issue so unless they release a fix with the new firmware update all we can do is wait.

 

Meanwhile you can try this

 

Change to 4G Only mode and see if you still have any disconnection issues

 

Basic > Internet > 4G Only or Advanced > Network > Internet > 4G only

 

If that still doesn't work, change to 3G Only mode. I seem to have more connection stablity on 3G Only mode but I still had the disconnection issue.

 

You can also try upgrading your firmware to the latest version and see if it fixes the problem for you, as for me I restored the firmware to the version that came with the router and I use the internet for a few hours with disconnection problem every few hours.

Thanks for your information. We can do some troubleshooting first to locate this issue. 

 

1. What is the led status of the MR400 when it lost connection? And who is the SIM card provider?

2. Can you get internet from it via ethernet cable?

3. With SIM card inserted into the cellphone directly, what about the stability. 

4. Try to enable QoS and give the devices downloading or gaming higher priority. Below is the instruction:

5. You can change the network type to 4G only and create the network profile manually to give it a go.

Hi,

I bought new huawei router and I am using same sim card  and everything works perfect.

 

Internet light swiches off for few seconds and I tried everything what you have asked me to do but nothing changed.

I have paid for this modem £80 and it looks like best place to keep it is my kitchen bin.

Your not the only one with this issue, they won't even admit its a problem. Just move everyone into private chats. I am having the exact same issue as you, I am not on lockdown for Coronavirus and in quartine, so i can't even go out to the store and buy a new one. Seriously not happy.

The network is stable when connected to mobile network. 

 

Request you to kindly take it up with the technical expert to do the analysis and provide us with updated stable firmware.
