Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.2Build 20180118 rek.38979 (EU)

SETUP

Internet Router with Wifi in Room1

ADSL Wifi Router - D-Link 224

WiredLines: ADSL connected to RJ11, Lan1 connected to TP-Link Archer C1200

Wifi 2.4Ghz - on

DHCP - on

Router IP (Static) 192.168.1.1

 Wifi Router in Room2

TP-Link Archer C1200 connected to D-Link 224 in access point mode.

LAN only dual-band wifi router

WiredLines: Lan1 connected from D-Link Lan1, Internet port not used.

Wifi 2.4Ghz - on

Wifi 5Ghz - off

DHCP - off

Router IP (Static) - 192.168.1.200

Gateway - 192.168.1.1

After a power failure or reboot, D-link continues to work but TP-link Archer C1200 stays hanged.

TP-Link Archer C1200, Led lights ON of router 'Power', '2G' and 'Lan1'.

In mobile phones/laptops, I can see the TP-Link Router Wifi listing but do not connect after selecting wifi.

Connecting a Laptop using Lan2 of TP-Link Archer C1200 also does not work. But when I connect a Lan corresponding light turns on for the router.

Accessing 192.168.1.200 also not show the router login page for Archer C1200. While accessing 192.168.1.1 of the D-link pages also becomes slow, This is solved by Turning off Archer 1200 or unplugging lan of Archer 1200.

After Archer C1200 router reset and configuring like above it works for some time until the next reboot or power failure.

@MilanAntony

Hi, how did you configure C1200 as access point mode? Did you change the operation mode to access point directly or you set it up manually?

After the power failure/reboot, please connect your computer to the C1200 and click here to get the IP address and gateway obtained by your PC. Try to ping the gateway of the main router, which is 192.168.1.1.

Besides, have you ever tried to reserve an IP for the C1200 on the main router; or you can setup the DSL router as bridge mode and the C1200 works as the main router.

@Kevin_Z  I've configured the router to access point using the router dashboard operation mode.

Now the router is in the hanged state. I followed step to get IP address and I see like this.

Ping to the D-link router from the laptop connected to the Archer C1200.

Do you have documentation for using C1200 as main router from another router configured in bridge mode?

Found issue with low voltage from the power adapter. Router was not getting enough ampere to function normally. Issue rectified by changing power adapter.
