Deco M5 wired connection with 1Gbps internet Wifi speed @ 500Mbps
I have incoming internet speed of 1Gbps, my 4 Deco M5s are connected in a daisy chain router mode, if I plug in my computer into any of the Decos I get 1Gbps, however all my devices including new Hp computer, iPhone 11 and Samsung S10 can get a max of 500 Mbps when standing next to the Decos.
Can someone help please?

@Stefou agree but iPhone 11 does backward compatibilty, I slso have iPad Pro , iPhobe 7 plus, etc.. all do not exceed the 500 Mbps, looks like despite advertising an 867 Mbps on 5G the deco M5 does not deliver thos speeds

Hi, 867Mbps is the wireless link speed in the PHY layer, not the actual wireless speed you can get. It is related to the current wireless negotiation speed and the network environment. We can do some troubleshooting first.
1. With your computer connected to the Deco M5's wifi, please check the wireless negotiation speed on your device, here is the instruction: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/
Note: In general, the actual wireless speed is about 60% of the wireless negotiation speed. Combined with the interference, it may be lower.
2. Try to disable 2.4GHz on the Deco app and connect your device to the 5GHz only to test the speed you can get.
3. You can connect the main Deco to the modem only, with other slave Decos unplugged and test the speed.
4. You can swap the locations of the Deco units or switch the slave Deco to the main Deco to give it a shot.
Good day.

@Niceguys I stil can have only up to 240 Mpbs when testing my WiFi speed on SpeedTest. :(
This is happaning on all my devices and my cable modem is up to 500 Mpbs.
When connected in UTP (cable) I can reach 500 Mpbs.
Does anybody knows how I can increase to 500 Mbps in my Deco M5?
Thanks.

Ok, I realize that I forgot to clean the QOS configuration, that was with the old test speed as the limit when my service provider was deliverering up to 250 Mpbs.
Is it ok to set QOS limit up to the limit of my service provider?
Thanks,

Yes, it is OK, and it is also OK to set it higher.
In my speed tests with Deco M5, on 5GHz exclusively in an area wih very low interference, the best I have got was 460Mbps. You might be able to reach 500Mbps, depending on type of mobile device you use and how you run your tests.
If you'll get less than I've got, don't get disappointed, you may be hitting WiFi technology limitations in your tests.
