On tether instructions to connect to my home wifi , my range exter connects then I lose the device on my wifi, so I need to reboot and start again..  

Why does this keep happening?

@Sjkeane2010 Your Extender is RE650, right?

Via Tether app, after you configure extender, RE will need to reboot to apply all the new settings. Then you will lose the connection to its wifi. That's OK.

 

After a few minutes, extender will auto connects to your router wifi with 2.4G and 5G LED on and also the circle LED.

 

It's suggested to have different wifi name for your extender, then we can easily know extender is working.
