Wifi security WPA2 AES missing in Deco M9 Plus?
I am trying to connect my car ( Volvo XC60 ) to my Wifi. The car wants me to change WPA2 to AES instead of TKIP!
So no connection!
Connection to another Wifi router with WPA2 AES is OK!
I can not find any place in the Deco M9 settings to change Wifi security!
Any clues??

WPA-PSK is always enabled with no way to select WPA2-PSK only. Extremely weak security feature always enabled .

@TP-Link_Deco 'Highest priority' does not really solve our problem. We need a date and not just promises. I bought this M9 Plus because it was supposed to be start of the art. Wat a mistake!

'Highest priority' is just BS, they will not do anything about it, they doesnt even care about their customer. this my last TP link product. and the funny thing, we only got 1 update in a whole year, thats shows how much they care,

@TP-Link_Deco just installed today a deco m9 plus... inSSIDer reports:
"Weak Security (WPA)
It looks like WPA is enabled on your network. WPA is an older protocol vulnerable to attack. We recommend to use WPA2."
and a link to metageek:
"WPA Security was an improvement over WEP security, and it was replaced by WPA2 Security in 2004. WPA Security is vulnerable to some attacks. We recommend using at least WPA2 Security. WPA3 Security was released in 2018, but is not widely available yet."
2004 ! I had no issue with WPA2 on my old router with this device.
What's the recommendation? return purchase ? or will you garantee a fix?

Same request here... just upgraded to iPadOS 14 Beta and it tells me my network security is "weak"... that TKIP is not secure.
PLEASE correct this, soon. I spent a lot of money on this system.

Hi, I have same problem but with DECO M5 device, I also need to connect to my Volvo XC40 which is only available to connect WPA2(AES), and I also chose this product becuase it said to support WPA2 in technical specification, cuz I returned another previous device(Other brand) to buy M5. Please solve this case asap. Thanks. //WJ

@W_J Here's how I fixed this issue... I used a pair of power line extenders to take the network to my garage and bought a small hotspot that supported AES and set up a new Wireless network specifically for my car...

I must admit I'm shocked that WPA2 AES isn't a standard security level.
Appreciate that adding new features requires time for analysis and development. As it's been a while since the original query was raised and you thankfully agreed it should a top priority can you please give an indication of progress towards delivering this feature? Where does it rank in your backlog?

Hello,
We will release new firmware in the near future to add this feature which will allow you to change the wireless security on the Deco app, please be more patient with it.
However, we can not provide an ETA at the current stage and you may contact your reseller to return it if you cannot wait.
Sorry about that.

Is it possible to add support too for WPA3 for the Deco M9 Plus?
