I am using a TP-Link Modem Router (TD-W9980) and connected to it a new Deco M5 in Router mode.

It did not connect using PPPoE only Dynamic IP.

Is that a problem or should I stay with Dynamic IP?

Thanks

@zeev

If you have internet when connecting a PC to the TD-W9980 directly, then on the Deco M5, you need to select Dynamic IP.

If you have set up the TD-W9980 in the bridge mode and your ISP's connection type is PPPOE, then on the Deco M5, you need to select PPPOE.
