Hi I'm trying to get WiFi to my garden building I have a cat 5 cable down there and have a to link WiFi extender at the back of my house. The signal in the garden building is weak. Can I use an access point plugged directly to my router and still have the WiFi extender

thanks

@Scholzy What's the model No. of your extender? It's the name on the label, you can provide a poicture of that, then I can know that better.

If your extender supports AP mode, then you can set extender as an AP,  then the network will like below.

Router---Cat5 cable---Extender)))   wireless    (((Phone

Check this: How to configure the range extender as an access point (new logo)?
