Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

Are there any chances that a beta firmware for MR6400 v3 with this feature will be released?

In a next update could be added some functions for data usage monitoring? Having a maximum of 50GB or 30GB or 70GB/month, an estimation of data usage is important, then the router should send a periodic report. It could send a SMS or an email (from me to me) 1 time a day, or 2 or 3, or 1 time a week or every 500MB or 1GB or 2GB of data usage (selectable).
Thanks
Gianluca

I have installed the firmware "only for test confidential" and it's a big work...my modem now run in 4g+ when before it haven't.
Mobile HO Italy = Vodafone --->band 1 select 20 and band 2 select 1 = result --> 4G+
But my problem is the ghost network that appear sometimes and disappeared in 2,4Ghz
look here:
http://www.imagebam.com/image/e365e91344909904
and the power of the two wifi network that run up and down...why?
Is a problem with my device or all of you have this problem?
Do you have these problems?
thanks

@dvyx hi, are you expanding the firmware file? I can't 100% remember if I had to do this prior to updating.

Yes, make sure you are uploading the .bin file from in the zip, and not the zip?
I seem to only be able to connect on a single band "3". In theory Three in the UK should be able t connect on "3,20, occasionally 1".
Is it likely that the mast (literal line of site antenna to the mast) is not running a second band and therefore not allowing carrier aggregation? (and that no other masts are in range?
Or is it a restriction from elsewhere?
It is no concern - getting 80/30 speeds ISH. So more than good enough, but curious.
I do however seem to get a lot of websites that timeout or fail to connect due to SSL, on the first load.
Any ideas on the cause for this on the new firmware?
